Lotus Bakeries is active worldwide in the snacking segment with brands like Lotus, Lotus Biscoff, Lotus Dinosaurus, Lotus Suzy... With headquarters in Belgium, Lotus Bakeries has production facilities in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Sweden. In Courcelles production site, a broad range of waffles are produced.
Due to production reorganization, Lotus Bakeries wanted to install 2 new production lines in its Courcelles facilities. Adaptations of already existing lines and building are prerequisites. Modifications were made during running production keeping shutdown time as rare and short as possible.
Automation of dough preparation has been also upgraded.
Utilities (electricity, compressed air, chilled water) were reinforced consequently and modification to HVAC system were performed.
Major issues were planning, workers (both internal and external) safety and food safety.
