Project Manager | Data Centers | Belgium

IPS is looking for an Intermediate Project Engineer to join the team! Being part of the Buildings Business Unit, as a Data Center Project Engineer you will actively manage several types of projects, ranging from small security improvements to the complete refurbishment of all utilities in large server rooms.

Your Challenge

Manage projects including multiple phases and/ or specializations:

  • Project feasibility: building layout, technical space / white space layout, overall Time Schedule, procurement Strategy, financial plan, resilient design
  • Project preparation phase: investment analysis, basic engineering, TIER checklist, permitting, financing and procurement.
  • Project realization phase: project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, operational management.

Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

2-6 years of experience in applied engineering of Cooling (Chiller, loops, DFU, DX, containment, etc) and/or Resilient Power (generators, switchgear, UPS, distribution) and/or security electronics.

Other specific knowledge and experience that will be an asset:

  • Data center standards;
  • Environmental permitting and site selection;
  • Network cabling.

Skills:

  • Proactiveness and strong leadership skills;
  • Creativity, high flexibility while working, hardworking, team working;
  • Autonomy and ability to work independently;
  • Extensive skills in management, effective communication, and problem-solving; being able to prioritize diverse task completions.
  • Customer orientation and presentation skills.

Languages:

Fluent in both: English and French/Dutch.

Other European language is an asset.

Others:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word; also good ability with MS Project.

Use of AutoCAD

Driver license B

Willingness to punctual national or international mobility depending on the project needs.
