Description

After having prepared the realisation of a new production line in Landen in 2001 - 2002, COIL has decided to realise its new production capacity (Line 5) in Bernburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Main reason for this change in strategy is the consolidation in the Aluminium industry in Europe. In order to be able to provide the same level of services to a German rolling mill, major customer, as to a French-Belgian customer in the neighbourhood of Landen, COIL seeks the proximity of the German rolling mill in Saxony – Anhalt. The technological equipment of the new production facility consists of the following sections:

Entry section with strip joiner and accumulator
Degreasing- Etching (pickling)
Neutralisation (acidic)
Anodizing
Colouring
Sealing Exit section with accumulator and oil, plastic or paper protection film.

Product description:

Coil is the largest production facility for continuous anodising of aluminium strip. The new production line in Bernburg was built on a strategic location. Aluminium strip enters the production Line in the form of coils. After pre-treatment, the strip is electrically colour-anodised.

Capacity: 15 kt/year
Thickness: 0,5 – 2,2 mm
Sheet width: 1500mm
Line Speed: 15 m/min.
