Description

In order to increase performance and flexibility, to guarantee compliance with ATEX regulations and ensure a fixed range of high quality products to industrial customers as well as traditional bakeries, the CERES main production site in Brussels expands its bulk storage and loading capacity. The new storage silos and loading facility use latest technology for mechanical and pneumatic transport in order to increase performance and comply with sanitary regulations and security directives. The new technological equipment consists of:

28 steel silos of different capacity
Supporting steel structure resting on 4 vertical beams, anchored on pile foundations
Pneumatic and vibratory extractors, pneumatic and mechanical transport
Centralized and individual aspiration and filtration- Weighbridge
PCS7 based SCADA. At the same time, the loading equipment of the existing bulk stand is being revamped electrically and mechanically.

CERES is the first miller in Belgium with a large variety of flour products, available in bag or bulk. The bulk warehouse increases storage capacity and loading flexibility for different flour products and mixtures. The new bulk warehouse and technological equipment have following characteristics:

Storage capacity: 670 tons
Extracting speed: mechanically up to 60T/h, pneumatically up to 250 T/h.
