Description
For this project the goal was defined
as “Construction of a continuous annealing and
pre-treatment line for automotive body sheet
complete with building, cranage and utilities”.
The owner of the project (Corus Aluminium n.v.)
planned a yearly capacity of 82.000 tonnes per
year. Therefore the line speed specified
at 100 m/min. The building is 240 m long and
is 23 m high. All specified equipment
is intalled in the building. The length of the
line is 228 m, with 2 levels.
Total steel structures of about 1500 T support
the building as well as the installed equipment.
The equipment consists of a fully automatic
uncoiling and recoiling sections, degreasing,
floating furnace and quench, tension leveller,
pickling, passivation and dry lube.
